Objectivity & Transparency

Henry Ford once said his customers could have a car in any color they wanted as long as the color was black. Too many benefits consultants have the same mindset – they pretend to be objective and offer their clients a real choice of vendors, when – in reality – they are steering you toward the solution that meets their business needs, not yours.

That’s not how we do business at EBS:

  • We have no hidden agendas
  • We do not accept bonus or overrides based on pre-determined production quotas or retention
  • We have no affiliations with insurance companies other than that of appointed agent
  • We seek to develop solutions that achieve full transparency throughout the management of benefit programs, which is unique

We promise our clients two things:

  • Objectivity:  We promise to do what’s right for our client.  We cast a cold eye on all contracts and proposals and help our clients find the appropriate vendor and agreement to accomplish their business objectives. We do not accept lavish gifts or attend vacation trips that vendors offer us that do not have a valid business purpose.
  • Transparency:  We do not accept bonuses and override payments from vendors outside of the arrangement that you, the client, appoint us to receive.  Bonus and override payments are common additional forms of compensation used by many of our competitors.  These agreements are hidden from the client.  They force our competitors to meet pre-determined new business production quotas and/or require the retention of the clients with the vendor.  Both practices, that are commonly used by many of our competitors, lack the objectivity and transparency needed to promote solutions that are meaningful to clients.
